Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools in Manchester and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for caring, patient, and confident individuals who can provide effective 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
* Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
* Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated activities
* Supporting communication, social development, and independence
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
* Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
* Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Recent experience supporting pupils with SEND within a school setting
* Confident working on a 1:1 basis
* Experience supporting ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs is desirable
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Able to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
* Reliable, proactive, and committed to safeguarding
