Aspire People are currently recruiting Psychology and Child Psychology Graduates to work with children and young people across a range of schools in Manchester and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are interested in SEND, SEMH, child development, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing and want to gain valuable experience within an educational setting.
The Role May Include:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
* Working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs
* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
* Supporting social communication and confidence
* Assisting with interventions and differentiated learning activities
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
The Ideal Candidate:
* Degree in Psychology, Child Psychology, Education, or a related subject
* Genuine interest in child development, SEND, behaviour, or emotional wellbeing
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* Patient, empathetic, and approachable
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Confident supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour
* Keen to gain practical experience within education
Previous school experience is not essential for the right graduate, and we would also consider candidates with relevant experience through youth work, mentoring, tutoring, sports coaching, care, or volunteering.
