North Trafford Group Practice Medical Receptionist

Job summary

We are looking for the right candidate to join as Medical Receptionist in our team.

This is a part time position for 25 hours over Monday to Friday, shifts are between 8:00-13:00 in the mornings and 13:30-18:30 for afternoon shifts this is accommodated according the needs of the practice. Also there is a requirement to work overtime on Saturday or Sunday once a month minimum.

Main duties of the job

  • Greet patients and visitors to the practice.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented (where required) and redirected accordingly.
  • Book, amend and cancel patient appointment in line with practice appointments procedures ensuing optimum efficiency of the appointment system.
  • Deal with patient queries which may include calling hospital for copy of letters, lab reports or related.
  • Ensure all tasks sent by GPs and admin staff are dealt on timely basis
  • Ensure clinical rooms, reception and waiting areas are kept neat and tidy and also equipped with hand towels.
  • Keep up to date with mandatory trainings.
  • Re-stocking of information leaflets or any other relevant information as appropriate
  • Check emails on a daily basis. Also regularly check practice general emails.
  • Work safely at all times in accordance with GDPR Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.

We are looking for the right candidate to join as Medical Receptionist in our team.

Our practice has been rated as Good by the CQC and we take pride in delivering quality care to our patients and have a strong training and personal development ethos. We are part of North Trafford Primary Care Network

We are using EMIS Web and DOCMAN as our clinical system along with Ask My GP to provide digital platform to our patients
