SEN Teaching Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sport, education and supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role - Sports Graduate

As a Graduate, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop their confidence, communication, social skills and independence.

Based in Havering, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, using your sporting background to encourage engagement, participation and positive learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and daily learning.
• Using sport and physical activities to encourage engagement and development.
• Promoting positive behaviour, teamwork and communication.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• A degree in Sports, Sports Science, Physical Education or a related subject.
• A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
• A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An interest in developing a career in education and training.
• Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
