Supply Staff Ltd is recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary-aged pupils with additional learning needs in schools across East London.

We are looking for patient, adaptable and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and develop independence. These opportunities are suitable for candidates seeking day-to-day supply work or longer-term placements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group support to primary-aged pupils with additional needs.

• Assist teachers in adapting classroom activities to support different learning abilities.

• Help pupils develop communication, social and learning skills.

• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence.

• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

• Follow safeguarding procedures and support pupil wellbeing.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children in an educational or childcare setting.

• SEN experience is desirable.

• A patient, understanding and adaptable approach.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or SEN are advantageous.
