About this job

Method Grid; one platform to connect knowledge, process and delivery.

Founded in 2016, we're an ambitious, growing technology business working with some of the UK's largest organisations across the built environment, infrastructure and professional services sectors.

We're currently supporting a major UK infrastructure organisation with an exciting learning and development project, and we're looking for an experienced Video Content Developer to help us bring it to life.

This is a short-term, hands-on contract focused on producing a series of engaging, professional explainer videos using Synthesia, the AI video creation platform.

The Role

We're looking for someone who knows how to take complex information and turn it into something clear, engaging and easy to understand.

You'll be responsible for developing a series of short, practical explainer videos as part of a wider people development programme for a major UK infrastructure organisation.

Working from existing learning materials, you'll take ownership of the entire creative process – understanding the key messages, developing scripts and storyboards, establishing a consistent visual style and producing the finished videos using Synthesia.

You'll work with our team and subject matter experts to review and refine the content, incorporating feedback along the way and ensuring the finished videos are professional, engaging and accessible.

We're not looking for someone to simply copy and paste text into an AI video tool. We want someone who understands how people learn, can bring creative ideas to the table and knows how to make the most of the technology.

About You

You'll have demonstrable experience using Synthesia to create professional learning or explainer videos, with examples of your work that you can share.

You'll be a confident scriptwriter and storyteller, comfortable turning detailed or technical source materials into concise, engaging video narratives.

You'll also have a good eye for visual design, an understanding of instructional design principles and experience creating storyboards and supporting graphics.

Experience developing learning content within HR, people management or organisational development would be a real advantage.

We're a small, collaborative team, so you'll need to be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your deliverables and managing your time effectively.

And, perhaps most importantly, you'll enjoy the challenge of making complicated subjects feel simple.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful learning and development project for one of the UK's major infrastructure organisations.

You'll be working with an experienced, supportive team, with the freedom to bring your own creativity and ideas to the project.

The contract is for six weeks and can be delivered entirely remotely. We're much more interested in the quality of your work than where you happen to be sitting when you produce it.

If this sounds like the sort of project you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.

Please send us your CV, an indication of your availability and, ideally, some examples of videos you've created using Synthesia.
