DevOps Engineer

An exciting technology business in London is looking for a DevOps Consultant / Platform Engineer to help scale its cloud infrastructure, deployment processes and operational capabilities as the platform enters its next phase of growth.

• 6 Months initially
• Start date: ASAP
• Up to £500pd Outside Ir35

The Job

As the DevOps Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and improving the existing GCP cloud architecture
• Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Building monitoring, logging, alerting and observability capabilities
• Improving platform reliability, scalability and operational resilience
• Implementing cloud security best practices across infrastructure and deployments
• Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Supporting engineering teams with platform strategy and operational improvements
• Driving best practice across DevOps, cloud operations and platform engineering
• Identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions

You

• Strong DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, logging and alerting tools
• Strong cloud security and operational best practice experience
• Experience supporting and scaling production environments
• Python and FastAPI exposure beneficial
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Able to work autonomously and influence technical direction
