The Role - Graduate Mentor - Ealing

The Graduate Mentor will work predominantly with students in Years 7, 8 and 9, providing mentoring, behavioural and pastoral support alongside classroom assistance. w looking for someone who can become a positive role model for students and build strong, trusting relationships. The successful Graduate Mentor will be confident setting boundaries, encouraging positive behaviour and helping students remain focused and engaged in school.

Key responsibilities include: Graduate Mentor - Ealing

* Providing one-to-one and small-group mentoring
* Supporting students with behaviour, engagement and motivation
* Working predominantly with students in Years 7, 8 and 9
* Supporting students within lessons when required
* Helping students remain focused and engaged with their learning
* Building positive and professional relationships with students
* Encouraging confidence, resilience and positive behaviour
* Acting as a consistent and positive role model
* Supporting students with their organisation and approach to school
* Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff
* Potentially supporting sporting and extracurricular activities

The Ideal Graduate Mentor - Ealing

This Graduate Mentor role would suit a graduate with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoys working with young people and has the confidence to motivate and encourage students.

The school is particularly interested in graduates with experience or interests in:

* Mentoring or coaching
* Sport and physical activity
* Youth work
* Behaviour support
* Tutoring
* Working with young people
* Pastoral or community work
* Developing positive relationships with students

Previous school experience is advantageous but is not essential. The most important qualities are enthusiasm, resilience, patience, strong communication skills and the ability to establish appropriate boundaries while maintaining positive relationships with students.
