Business Development Manager - London

Lead business development and marketing strategy for a leading international law firm, driving revenue growth, market positioning, and client development across multiple practice areas. Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic pitches, sector campaigns, key account initiatives, thought leadership, and profile-raising activities, while leading and developing a high-performing London BD team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to support growth across practices and sectors.
• Lead complex pitches, RFPs, and client opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive key account management, client planning, and relationship development.
• Oversee marketing campaigns, events, thought leadership, and digital content initiatives.
• Manage legal directory and league table submissions (e.g. Chambers, Legal 500).
• Analyse market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the London business development team.
• Manage marketing budgets and measure ROI on BD initiatives.

• 7+ years' business development/marketing experience within professional services, ideally legal.
• Proven success leading pitches, client development, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Experience managing Chambers and Legal 500 submissions.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication, analytical, and project management abilities.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
