Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)

- 14-Month Contract / possibility of permanent employment / Financial Reporting -

A well-established major company is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance team in London on a 14-month maternity cover contract.

The role covers financial reporting, quarterly consolidation, statutory accounts and compliance across the company's UK and European entities.

The ideal candidate should have solid financial accounting and reporting experience, with strong attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly management accounts and support financial reporting across group entities
• Assist with quarterly consolidation and reporting to the Head Office
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
• Review financial statements and identify significant changes or reporting issues
• Review VAT and CIS reporting and reconciliations, and prepare ONS survey information
• Support daily accounting activities including payment runs, journal reviews and banking administration
• Contribute to process improvements, system implementation and knowledge sharing within the Finance team

Ideal Candidate

• ACCA part-qualified or above, or equivalent accounting qualification
• Experience in financial accounting and preparation of management and statutory accounts
• Experience in consolidation and group reporting, ideally within an international business
• Experience supporting financial reporting to an overseas parent company would be advantageous
• Good knowledge of UK accounting, VAT and compliance requirements
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting systems such as Sage or similar would be advantageous

Conditions

• Location: Central London, UK
• Salary: £45,000 per annum

• Working Days: Monday to Friday, 9:30-17:30
