About this job

This is a specialist Hr & Payroll Advisor position supporting payroll workforce and reporting activities within a public sector regulatory body. You'll partner with senior stakeholders to provide insight on pay, reward, gender pay gap reporting and remuneration benchmarking while helping shape future reward practices.

Client Details

Our client is a London-based regulator committed to delivering high-quality services and maintaining robust people practices. Due to increased demand within the People Services team, they are seeking an experienced HR Operations and Payroll professional to provide interim support during a period of growth and transformation.

Description

  • Act as the key contact for payroll queries and reward-related matters.
  • Support payroll assurance processes and review payroll accuracy.
  • Produce and analyse gender pay gap reporting and workforce data.
  • Research employee benefits and reward trends across sectors.
  • Interpret and advise on pay and reward policies.
  • Support senior leadership with reward insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with HR Operations, Finance and wider stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the People Services function.
  • Provide oversight and support to a small team within the pay and reward area.

Profile

A successful HR Operations and Payroll professional should have:

  • Previous experience within Reward, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations or a similar role.
  • Strong payroll knowledge and experience managing payroll-related queries.
  • Experience producing reward analysis, pay bench-marking or workforce reporting.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience using HR systems, ideally iTrent.
  • Public sector experience would be advantageous.
  • Available to start at short notice.

Job Offer

  • Day rate between £176.22 and £185.17 dependent on the level of experience.
  • 6 month contract offering stability and a defined project timeline.
