**Learning Support Assistant - Primary Schools**

**Have you worked with children but don't have a formal Teaching Assistant qualification?**
Aspire People are currently recruiting **Learning Support Assistants** to work across primary schools in Manchester.
Now that schools are back for the new academic year, we're looking to speak with people who have **recent experience working with children or young people** and want to bring those skills into a school environment.
You don't necessarily need a TA qualification. We're interested in people who can demonstrate the right experience, attitude and ability to build positive relationships with children.
Your background could include **youth work, tutoring, mentoring, childcare, sports coaching, children's activities or previous school-based work**.
**The Role May Include:**
* Supporting pupils within the classroom
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Assisting with Reading, Writing and Maths activities
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
* Helping children remain engaged with learning
* Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
* Encouraging confidence, independence and social development
* Supporting pupils during breaktimes and transitions
* Working closely with teachers and other support staff
**We're Looking For:**
* Recent experience working with children or young people
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Patient, supportive and adaptable approach
* Confidence working with different ages and needs
* Genuine interest in working within a primary school
* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
**Transferable Experience Could Include:**
* Youth work
* Professional tutoring
* Sports coaching
* Childcare
* Mentoring
* Nursery/early years work
* Children's activity programmes
* Previous school experience
A formal TA qualification is **not essential for the right candidate**, although relevant qualifications and school experience would be advantageous.
