Interim Finance Manager

Grafton Banks Finance are working with an SME organisation with offices near Hastings, East Sussex to recruit an Interim Finance Manager for a minimum period of 3 months. Working in a team and reporting in to the board of Directors this interim job opportunity is to provide essential support during a transition period within the finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical finance professional who enjoys improving processes, maintaining strong financial controls and helping teams deliver high-quality financial information.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring month-end processes, reconciliations, variance analysis, management accounts are delivered to agreed deadlines.

• Identifying and improving high-value reports within the finance system, including Business Central.

• Supporting priority audit actions, reconciliations and financial controls to ensure clear and documented processes.

• Developing and documenting finance procedures and standard operating processes.

• Coordinating day-to-day priorities within a small finance team and ensuring workloads, deadlines and responsibilities remain visible and achievable.

Key Skills Required:

We're looking for a finance professional who can quickly establish credibility and help drive delivery from day one. You will have:

• Recent hands-on management accounting experience, including month-end reporting and reconciliations.

• Strong financial controls, audit trail and working-paper experience.

• The ability to coordinate and support a small finance team.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong finance systems experience.

• A practical, delivery-focused approach with the confidence to identify and escalate risks

• Business Central experience.

• Database configuration or systems improvement experience.

• Year-end audit support experience.
