School Caretaker - Secondary School

Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Sittingbourne.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual to support the day-to-day running of the school site, helping to ensure the buildings and grounds remain safe, secure and well maintained.

• Opening and securing the school site

• Carrying out daily site inspections and security checks

• Completing general maintenance and minor repairs

• Keeping the site safe, clean and presentable

• Setting up rooms and areas for school activities and events

• Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues

• Supporting with general premises and facilities duties

• Previous experience in caretaking, premises or facilities management

• Good practical skills and general maintenance knowledge

• A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach

• A good understanding of health and safety

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Previous school-based experience would be an advantage

• A valid DBS or willingness to complete the DBS process before starting
