Job summary
We are looking for a Band 5 Nurse with at least 12 months post qualification experience to complement our existing nursing team and to work within our dynamic and friendly team.
The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of skilled and highly motivated staff who provide quality care to children with a wide variety of conditions including medical, surgical, trauma, orthopaedics plastics, ENT and the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre non-malignant blood cancers .
We provide specialist education at every level, including the opportunity for Band 5 Nurses to undertake the Paediatric Critical Care Course and specialist training, such as Haemafiltration. We have the support of 2 dedicated Family Liaison Nurses who support our families and staff through a culture of caring and compassionate working.
We are looking for a Band 5 nurse who is committed to delivering high quality care and supporting our current and future services. The post holder must be willing to engage in all the development opportunities and be enthusiastic about their own development and growth.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will work with the ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members inmonitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, aspart of the ward team.
- The post holder will provide direct quality patient care to high dependency and intensivecare level patients.
- Following the preceptorship period, the post holder is expected to carry out all relevantforms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures,supervise unqualified and adaptation staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- To be flexibleTo use evidence-based practice and actively participate in the progression of nursingwithin West London Children's Healthcare (WLCH)
