Power BI Developer

Power BI Delivery Consultant | Contract

£55,000 to £60,000 | 3 Month FTC | Hybrid (3 days on site) in Northampton

We’re looking for a hands-on Power BI Delivery Consultant to join a growing data function and hit the ground running.

This is a delivery-focused contract - taking business requirements, challenging where needed, and turning data into high-quality dashboards, semantic models and actionable insight.

• Build and deliver Power BI dashboards & reports
• Develop semantic models, DAX & Power Query
• Work across Microsoft Fabric, SQL & Excel data
• Translate business needs into meaningful reporting solutions
• Improve and automate existing reporting processes
• Identify data quality issues and wider opportunities
• Work closely with stakeholders, challenging requirements where appropriate

• Strong Power BI development experience
• Advanced DAX & Power Query (M)
• Strong SQL
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Solid data / dimensional modelling experience
• Confident stakeholder management skills
• A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset

Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse, Azure, ETL/ELT or data governance experience? Even better.

This isn't a "build what's on the ticket" BI role. You'll have the opportunity to shape requirements, improve reporting and identify where data can deliver more value.
