About this job

We're working with a leading entertainment and media business on an exciting opportunity for a Director of Commercial FP&A, leading revenue planning and forecasting across a portfolio of well-known entertainment brands. We're looking for a senior FP&A professional with strong commercial revenue forecasting experience, ideally within media, entertainment, licensing, IP, consumer products or another contract-led environment.


The role:

  • Lead commercial FP&A across the group, with a strong focus on revenue planning, forecasting and budgeting
  • Own quarterly Licensor/Partner forecasting cycles, producing detailed forecasts at an individual contract and licence level across a high volume of agreements
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and longer-term financial planning cycles
  • Partner closely with Commercial Directors across Europe and North America to review, understand and challenge licensee forecasts
  • Translate detailed financial data into clear commentary, commercial insight and strategic narratives for senior stakeholders and licensors
  • Provide commercial analysis and revenue tracking to support strategic decision-making
  • Partner with Partnership Finance and local finance teams across global entities to consolidate planning and analysis
  • Manage and develop a team of 2, alongside building strong cross-functional relationships
  • Drive process improvement, automation and consistency across the finance function
  • Support the business through a number of ongoing finance and software transformation projects


We're looking for:

  • Senior FP&A / Commercial Finance experience, ideally at Senior Manager, Head of FP&A or Director level
  • Strong commercial revenue forecasting and financial planning experience, ideally involving high-volume, granular forecasting at contract, customer, product or licence level
  • Experience within licensing, media, entertainment, IP, consumer products or a similarly commercial / contract-led environment highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with confidence working with senior Commercial Directors and other senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling capabilities; Power Query and Power BI experience advantageous
  • Proactive approach to process improvement, automation and finance transformation
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
