Job summary

The Front of House Manager will play an integral part in the management and delivery of reception services by providing support, management and leadership to the Front of House administration team.

Main duties of the job

In collaboration with team leaders, the Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Front of House administration team, and will ensure that the department delivers high standards of patient care in a professional and efficient way and in line with Hospitals and departmental standards.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Head of Outpatients and Patient Services and front of house teams, ensure delivery of the strategic and operational plan(s)
  • To provide day to day management, leadership and support to administrative staff members
  • To perform local inductions and probationary reviews for all new starters within the team
  • To carry out performance reviews and annual appraisals with staff members.
  • Challenge, investigate and manage any staff performance concerns in accordance to the Hospital policies.
  • To ensure all new staff are set up on the required systems and that all leavers have their accounts deactivated
  • To assist in the training of staff on various systems and be a super user.
  • Ensure departments and staff are working in compliance of the latest GDPR regulations and hospital guidelines.
  • Ensure patient data capture is accurate.
  • To support the administrative staff with complaints, trouble shooting, challenging/difficult customers and/or situations.
  • Support the leads in investigating any billing/invoices or administrative queries.

  • Previous management/supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Able to work within a team.

  • IT literate to include windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
