KS1 Teaching Assistant

KS1 Teaching Assistant | Greenwich | £95 to £105 per day

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with younger children? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a primary school in Greenwich seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants a consistent role, build strong relationships with pupils and become a valued member of a school community.

About the role

You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 1, helping them access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Supporting pupils with reading, writing, phonics and maths.

* Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.

* Helping pupils stay focused and engaged during lessons.

* Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines.

* Preparing resources and assisting the class teacher.

* Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

What we are looking for

* Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.

* Confidence working with KS1 pupils.

* A patient, approachable and reliable approach.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* A genuine interest in supporting children's education.
