Strategic Commissioner (Learning Disabilities & Autism)– London – 6 months

Venn Group’s specialist Local Government recruitment team is recruiting a Strategic Commissioner (Learning Disabilities & Autism) for a London Borough.

The role:

We’re looking for an experienced commissioner to join our Adult Social Care Strategic Commissioning team to:

• Lead the delivery of the action plans associated with the current commissioning Learning Disabilities and Autism strategies
• Further develop the Learning Disabilities Strategy to become all age in approach
• Develop a new all age neurodivergence strategy

• Undertake a series of commissioning reviews and oversee the following tenders:
• Advocacy services
• Breaks for Carers (Residential Respite provision)
• Day Opportunities
• Shared Lives

About you:

• You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of Learning Disabilities and Neurodivergence including Autism
• You will have proven experience working within Learning Disabilities and Autism / Neurodivergence in a senior commissioning role and a strong understanding of relevant legislation
• You will have extensive strategic commissioning experience working in Adult Social Care and be a subject matter expert in the field of Learning Disabilities and Neurodivergence

Key details:

• Day Rate: £500 p/d umbrella
• Location: London / Hybrid – 2 dpw onsite
• Start: ASAP
