Job summary
The post-holder will be responsible for facilitating the Trusts participation in the CMP (Case Mix Programme) as carried out by ICNARC (Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre) as well as assisting in all aspects of Theatres, Anaesthetics, Critical Care (TACC) reporting and information within the Trust.
The priorities of the post-holder will be the collection and validation of all patient related data within the critical care setting with a focus on data quality and timeliness. As such, the post-holder will also require a proactive and dynamic approach to data analysis ensuring that key quality indicators on the critical care unit are recognised and where a shortfall of these standards is detected, this is reported to the TACC Services Information Product Specialist Team Leader

About us
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated Trust and the only provider of NHS acute care in Walsall, serving a population of 284,300. It provides inpatient and outpatient services at the Manor Hospital as well as a wide range of services in the community. Walsall Manor houses the full range of district general hospital services under one roof. - GCSE English Language and Maths Grade C or above essential
- NVQ 3 Business Administration or equivalent
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in an admin and clerical role, with a significant amount of experience in a data quality or equivalent role.
- Collation and evaluation of information, using a clinical information system for both data input and reporting
Desirable
- Experience in a critical care setting
- Basic understanding of some medical terminology
Skills and Aptitudes

- A solid grasp of using clinical information system
- Ability to input and retrieve data accurately.
- Demonstrates high level of accuracy, attention to detail and an understand of the importance of high quality data
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Abilities to provide high level of customer service and promote a positive image of the Trust Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
