Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Primary SEN TA | Tower Hamlets | Full Time

A supportive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for an Experienced Primary SEN TA to focus on behaviour and learning support, starting ASAP.

You will be working closely with pupils with SEN and additional complex needs, providing consistent one-to-one and small-group support to help them engage positively and confidently in all aspects of school life. Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils while providing tailored academic, emotional and behavioural support. Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to implement individual learning and behaviour strategies, promote independence and develop pupils' confidence, communication and social skills.

ROLE DETAILS

• Experienced Primary SEN TA
• Based in Tower Hamlets, London
• Focus on supporting pupils with SEMH and learning needs
• ASAP start
• Pay: £105 - £115 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support, as well as in-class assistance

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural and learning needs in a primary setting
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
• Understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed approaches (desirable)
• Calm, consistent and resilient
• Excellent communication and ability to build positive relationships
• Committed to helping pupils develop both academically and socially
