About this job

About the Role

Are you a friendly and social person who enjoys being surrounded by inspiring individuals? Are you looking for that next step in your career or looking for that new challenge and believe that you have the transferable skills to make a positive impact on the lives of young adults and children?

Job Opportunity

What you will be doing:

Support work isn’t just making cups of tea and personal care. It is about enhancing the lives for people living with emotional, physical and sometimes complex disabilities. At Insignia Healthcare Group we believe that everyone has the right to live a fulfilling life and reach their full potential. Although a good cup of tea does go a long way!!

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and engaging Support Worker to join a care team supporting a male adult in his 20s who lives at home with his Mum, Nan and Sister in Cantley Norfolk. He has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Epilepsy and Scoliosis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone’s life by providing both high-quality clinical care and holistic support for his overall health and wellbeing.

He loves socialising, getting out and about; whether that is meeting friends to go bowling or to the cinema (Marvel is a particular favourite). Taking the family dog for walks on the beach, going to able2b gym or going horse riding. He is also a very keen artist and wildlife photographer and enjoys creating and taking images of local wildlife to send into wildlife TV programmes. This is an active and highly person-centred role, so we are looking for someone who is happy to get involved, join in with the activities he enjoys and support him to live life to the fullest. The role does require staff to use their own vehicles to transport him to his activities, so business insurance will be required. (Milage paid)

You’ll need to be someone who is:

  • Energetic and enthusiastic – able to keep up with his busy lifestyle
  • Fun, engaging and positive – someone who enjoys getting involved rather than standing on the sidelines
  • Patient and understanding – able to provide reassurance and support when things don’t go to plan
  • Adaptable and reliable – comfortable working within an established routine while supporting him through changes
  • Physically able to meet the genuine demands of an active support role -including participating in activities, accessing the community and accompanying him on outings

This isn't a role for someone who wants to simply sit and observe — we're looking for someone who wants to get involved and genuinely make a difference.

Key Details:

  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Location: Rural setting in Cantley Norfolk (driver essential)
  • Business Insurance: required for transportation to activities.

All positions can be given as a contracted fixed rota position or on a casual basis if preferred.

*There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010.

*Please note we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.
