Cedar are partnered with a Renewable Energy firm in London who are seeking an EPM Project lead to join on a 12 month contract.
You will responsible for driving the successful adoption and evolution of their new long-term financial forecasting and planning platform. First priority will be to complete Phase 2 of the project and then help to scope and build a business case for Phase 3 into 2027.
The Role
Programme Leadership
- Own the business vision, roadmap and strategic direction the new Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform.
- Act as the primary representative of the programme with executive sponsors and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain alignment across the various delivery teams.
- Present programme updates, risks, benefits and recommendations to Sponsor and Steering Committees.
- Resolve conflicting stakeholder priorities and build consensus around delivery decisions.
- Challenge assumptions, scope and priorities where necessary to protect delivery outcomes.
- Lead the completion of Phase 2 delivery and the scoping, business case and mobilisation of Phase 3.
Product Ownership & EPM Platform Strategy
- Convert business needs into clear requirements and prioritised development activities.
- Balance competing business requests against technical constraints and strategic objectives.
- Define and evolve the core EPM capability to the standard expected of an enterprise performance management platform.
- Drive future capabilities across automation, AI and analytics.
Adoption & Change Management .
- Sponsor and oversee training programmes across jurisdictions and stakeholder groups.
- Act as a visible champion for the future operating model and drive behavioural change across the organisation.
Risk Management
- Identify operational, technical and adoption risks before they become programme issues.
- Challenge delivery teams when functionality does not meet business expectations.
- Balance delivery timelines with quality, user trust and long-term adoption objectives.
- Continuously assess where project assumptions diverge from business reality and take corrective action.#
Key Experience Required
- Hands-on background in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), gained delivering or owning planning, budgeting, forecasting and consolidation capability on platforms such as Anaplan, OneStream, Oracle EPM/Hyperion, SAP BPC/Analytics Cloud or Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Leadership & Business Transformation - Proven record of leading business transformation and system-adoption programmes at scale, defining a vision and aligning senior stakeholders behind it.
- Technology Fluency - Comfortable operating alongside engineering, data and AI teams; can grasp technical design, challenge it, and translate between business and technical audiences. Actively looks for opportunities to apply automation, AI and analytics to improve performance.
- Financial & Commercial Acumen - Deep understanding of financial modelling, valuation and investment appraisal.
