Overview

A global e-commerce compnany is seeking a Senior React Engineer to help build a new internal platform that will simplify how digital trading teams interact with product search and tools.

The platform will provide a modern, intuitive user interface that sits behind a newly developed API layer, helping abstract the complexity of existing search technologies and creating a foundation for future platform development.

This role would suit an experienced contractor who thrives in autonomous environments and can take ownership of front-end delivery.

The Role

You will play a key role in designing and developing a modern React application that enables teams to manage and interact with search and product functionality through a streamlined user experience.

Working closely with backend engineers and engineering leadership, you'll help deliver a scalable and user-friendly platform within a fast-paced delivery timeline.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building a modern React-based web application
• Developing and consuming REST APIs
• Collaborating with backend engineers to define API contracts
• Creating intuitive user experiences for non-technical business users
• Contributing to front-end architecture and technical decisions
• Writing clean, maintainable and high-quality code

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with React JS
• Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript development skills
• Experience building scalable, production-grade web applications
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Typically 6-10+ years software engineering experience

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with .NET backend environments
• Experience working alongside .NET Core engineering teams
• Azure exposure
• E-commerce or retail sector experience
• Search, merchandising or product catalogue platforms
• Experience building internal business applications
