Job summary

Neurosurgery CDG 10b are looking to recruit a highly motivated, adaptable, reliable, enthusiastic and initiative taking, Neurosurgery and MDT and Data co-ordinator.

The role will require taking minutes in MDT and administrating the necessary pre- and post MDT actions, as well as supporting with Data work within the department.

The role involves working as part of the dynamic team within Neurosurgery department for both Admin and clinical staff.

Also, this will be a platform to bring new innovative processes to the service. The post holder will be proactively supported in developing new skills, knowledge, and experiences. The post holder will work under direct supervision and will directly impact and contribute to the efficient running of the service by ensuring that a seamless approach to patient care is delivered.

This post is for 30 hours per week and temporary to cover Maternity leave (until August 2027).

Main duties of the job

*Mainly IT//keyboard/ Typing skills

*Accurately action the referral inbox and action urgent referrals correctly and routine referrals correctly in terms of their position on the MDT list and take care not to miss off any email as this could lead to clinical risk.

*Registering patients outside of UHB onto Oceano by linking spine demographics.

*Emailing out and uploading the outcomes post MDT, as well as support with uploading outcomes for the Spinal MDT, CSF MDT and Epilepsy MDT, all onto the patient Clinal Portal record system.

*Provide patients with non-clinical advice and information on a range of issues such as when they are likely to be discussed in MDT to patients chasing for MDT outcomes, which will need to be directed to referring team accordingly.

*IT skills: formatting word documents and outlook skills, correspondences typed out.

*Liaise with staff, patients, service users and external agencies, both Admin and clinical, but mostly clinical team.

*Attend admin team / departmental meetings on a regular basis. Contribute to building effective teamwork in exchanging views, ideas and communicating effectively
