The Supply Register is working in partnership with Step Trust as their Managed Service Provider (MSP), supporting schools across the trust with their staffing requirements and recruiting experienced HLTAs for a range of opportunities.

Whether you’re looking for a full-time position, flexible supply work or a longer-term role, we can connect you with opportunities that match your experience, skills and availability.

We’re looking for HLTAs who:

• Hold a HLTA qualification or recognised equivalent
• Have strong classroom experience and are confident supporting learning across a range of year groups
• Can confidently lead lessons or whole-class activities when required
• Are proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential

Please note: these roles are specifically for qualified HLTA or previous HLTA roles.

The Role

As an HLTA, you may be required to:

• Lead whole-class learning and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Work alongside teachers to support planning, learning activities and targeted interventions
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of learning needs
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment
