About this job

Are you a qualified accountant with strong statutory accounts experience looking for your next contract opportunity? We are working exclusively with a leading London-based organisation to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager on a 9 month fixed term contract.

The Role

This is a pivotal position within a busy Group Finance function, with primary responsibility for managing the end-to-end production of a high volume of statutory accounts ahead of a Summer 2027 filing deadline. You will coordinate the external audit process across a significant number of entities, liaise with the Group Tax team on statutory disclosures, and support the wider team with month-end close and the production of the Group's Annual Report and Accounts.

This is a technically demanding role that requires someone who can hit the ground running, manage a complex timetable across multiple entities, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy throughout. Ideally we are looking for someone that has experience working in the property/real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the production of circa 150 statutory accounts across the Group in accordance with IFRS
  • Coordinating external audit across approximately 50 entities
  • Supporting month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting

  • Contributing to systems and process improvements across the finance function

What We're Looking For
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with solid IFRS experience
  • Practice background, ideally from an audit environment, first move out of practice or early post-qualified industry experience welcome
  • Proven experience preparing or auditing statutory accounts across multiple entities
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage high volumes of work under pressure
  • Experience with Caseware is advantageous - training will be provided
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence across finance systems

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic contract role for someone who thrives in a technically rigorous environment and wants to make a real impact during a critical reporting period. The organisation offers a collaborative team culture and a genuine opportunity to add value from day one.
