Senior Consultant (Azure Virtual Desktop)- 6 Months rolling

I am looking for an experienced Senior Consultant with a solid background in Azure Virtual Desktop to join our Professional Services team and play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise-scale Azure Virtual Desktop solutions for our customers.

This is a hands-on, client-facing consulting position suited to a highly skilled cloud professional with proven experience delivering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.

You will work across the full project lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation, migration, testing and operational handover. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will help customers translate business requirements into secure, scalable and supportable cloud solutions.

Alongside AVD expertise, you will bring strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure, Entra ID, networking, FSLogix and automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise enterprise Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned to Microsoft best practices.
• Implement and integrate Azure infrastructure, networking and identity services.
• Configure and troubleshoot FSLogix profile solutions.
• Develop automation using PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Support migrations, deployments, testing and service transition activities.
• Lead workshops, discovery sessions and technical assessments.
• Understand customer business objectives and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide trusted technical guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support solution design, estimations and presales engagements.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, migration and implementation plans.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and operational requirements.
• Identify and manage delivery risks throughout project lifecycles.
• Support knowledge transfer to operational and managed services teams.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience designing and delivering Azure Virtual Desktop solutions.
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access and identity solutions.
• Solid Azure networking expertise, including virtual networks, DNS, routing and private connectivity.
• Hands-on FSLogix administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong Azure infrastructure knowledge across IaaS, storage, monitoring, backup and security.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create professional technical documentation.

Desirable Experience

• Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or ARM.
• Azure DevOps and/or GitHub deployment pipelines.
• Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Windows 365 experience.
• Migration projects from VDI, RDS or on-premises desktop platforms.
• Experience working with regulated or security-focused organisations.

• AZ-140 Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
• AZ-104 Azure Administrator
• AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect
• SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator
• AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert

This opening sits inside IR35 and does require you to attend the office a few times a week
