Senior BD Executive - 12 month FTC

A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Marketing & Business Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will support BD activity across the not-for-profit, schools, higher education and sovereign sectors. This is a varied role covering pitches, campaigns, events, directory submissions, thought leadership, market research and profile-raising.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting sector BD plans, budgets and growth initiatives.
• Managing pitches, tenders and capability statements from start to finish.
• Planning and delivering in-person and virtual events and webinars.
• Coordinating Legal 500, Chambers and award submissions.
• Supporting thought leadership, campaigns and marketing materials.
• Conducting market, competitor, client and prospect research.
• Supporting profile-raising, sponsorship and external speaking opportunities.
• Working closely with partners, lawyers and senior stakeholders to deliver commercial BD activity.

About you

You will have strong business development and marketing experience within professional services, ideally in a law firm or similar environment.

You will be:

• Commercially minded, proactive and delivery-focused.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• An excellent written and verbal communicator.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and influencing effectively.
• Collaborative, adaptable and able to take ownership.

A degree or equivalent experience is required; CIM or equivalent is desirable.
