About this job

We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Project Manager for a contract role supporting a significant ecommerce platform migration within a regulated environment. Based in Putney, London, and working in a hybrid setup, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a complex project to transition a digital ecommerce site from Magento to Shopify Plus. This role requires strong coordination skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to keep multiple workstreams on track within strict timelines and compliance constraints. You will support the development of the overall migration roadmap, manage cross-functional teams including development, design, QA, and third-party vendors, and oversee key migration aspects such as data transfer, SEO, content migration, and integrations. Your role will also involve managing change control, testing automated email flows, and ensuring a seamless go-live and post-launch stabilization. The project demands excellent stakeholder engagement, risk management, and documentation skills to ensure successful delivery on time and within scope.

  • Proven project management experience, ideally in ecommerce or website platform migrations
  • Familiarity with Magento and Shopify platforms, with experience in Magento-to-Shopify migration preferred
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Experience with requirements gathering, scoping, and prioritisation of new features
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or Trello
  • Understanding of APIs, data migration, and theme development, even without a technical background
  • Strong risk and issue management instincts and proactive problem-solving ability

In addition to a rewarding challenge, this role offers a contract duration until March 2027, a competitive hourly rate of £29.00 P/H, and the opportunity to work within a well-established company. Flexible start and finish times, Hybrid working 50/50
