Are you an outgoing and compassionate Teaching Assistant seeking a new opportunity to work with children and make a real impact to their learning journey?

If yes, then Academics are working with a well led and supportive primary school in the Borough of Waltham Forest (Walthamstow) who are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic primary school in September 2026! This is a full-time, long-term role that will involve working in the school for at least the full academic year (till July 2027).
As a primary teaching assistant, you will be responsible for working alongside the class teacher to support students both in and outside of their lessons, enabling children to meet their academic targets. You will have the opportunity to work with children across Reception to Year 6 on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
This role will also include working with students with ASD, ADHD and SEMH. The Headteacher is therefore keen to trial/ interview candidates with prior experience or a passionate graduate who is looking for a long-term career working with children.
TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE DETAILS:
- Based in Walthamstow, London
- Monday - Friday, Term-Time only
- Long-Term, Full-Time role - 8.30am - 3:30pm
- ASAP Start in October or November 2026
- Contract until July 2027 at least
- £95 - £120 per day
