SEN HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to children with special educational needs.
- Assist in planning and implementing personalised learning plans for students.
- Provide support in small group and one-on-one settings, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and teachers.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence among students.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) or experience as an SEN HLTA.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting learning.
- Knowledge of various SEN strategies and interventions is desirable.
