As Global Head of Risk, Safety & Resilience, you will enable William Reed's continued international growth by building and embedding a robust enterprise-wide framework for risk, safety, governance and resilience. Your impact will provide the Executive Team and Board with confidence that the organisation's people, events and operations are protected. You will help ensure legal obligations are met, and risks are effectively managed across all markets. Ultimately, you will create the governance, assurance and resilience capability required for William Reed to scale safely, sustainably and with confidence.
This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, implementing and embedding William Reed's Enterprise Protection Framework
- Developing and maintaining the Global Risk, Safety & Resilience Strategy
- Establishing governance frameworks, corporate standards, policies and assurance processes
- Providing the Executive Team and Board assurance through reporting, KPIs, dashboards and risk updates
- Developing and maintaining enterprise risk registers and implementing risk controls
- Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across all operating jurisdictions
- Conducting site inspections, operational assurance reviews and compliance audits
- Directing event-specific risk assessments, incident investigations, organisational learning activities and supplier & contract assurance programmes
- Developing business continuity, crisis management and emergency preparedness arrangements
What You’ll Need
- Extensive experience developing and implementing enterprise risk frameworks, risk governance and assurance processes
- Demonstrated expertise in event risk assessment and venue assurance, event management plan review, contractor and supplier governance, operational auditing and inspections, and fire safety assurance
- Strong knowledge in occupational health and safety management, regulatory compliance and incident investigation
- Commercial acumen with excellent capabilities in executive and Board influencing, change leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, effective decision-making and building new functions
- Practical knowledge of business continuity planning, organisational resilience strategies, crisis management, public protection & security procedures and emergency response arrangements
- Familiarity with supporting multinational operations & events, and operating across different legal jurisdictions
- Experience in developing policies, designing training programmes and monitoring frameworks
- Ability to review and report KPIs with an emphasis on continuous improvement methodologies
