Interim Financial Modelling Consultant

Location: London - Hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Day Rate: £650 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP

Butler Rose is currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Modelling Consultant to support a growing organisation on an initial 6-month contract.

This opportunity requires a genuine financial modelling specialist with extensive experience building complex, fully integrated financial models from scratch. The successful candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and a proven track record of developing models used to support significant commercial, investment and financing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Designing and building fully integrated three-statement financial models from scratch, incorporating P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
* Developing financial models to support strategic investment decisions, fundraising, refinancing and commercial transactions.
* Producing detailed project-based financial models covering development cash flows, working capital, capital expenditure and project costs.
* Building and maintaining robust financial models to support business planning and commercial decision-making.
* Undertaking scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and financial forecasting.
* Working independently and engaging with senior finance and commercial stakeholders.

Key Requirements:
* Extensive hands-on financial modelling experience, with modelling forming a core part of recent roles.
* Proven ability to build complex, fully integrated three-statement models from scratch.
* Experience developing financial models used for investment, fundraising, refinancing or major commercial decisions.
* Strong project-based modelling experience, ideally within engineering, infrastructure, construction or other project-led environments.
* Strong accounting background, ideally ACA-qualified or equivalent.
* Previous experience in transaction services, corporate finance, financial advisory or specialist modelling consultancy would be advantageous.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
* Comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership of modelling deliverables.
Please note: This is a specialist financial modelling assignment rather than a traditional FP&A, budgeting or management reporting position. Applicants must demonstrate substantial hands-on experience building financial models from scratch.

* Hybrid working - 3 days per week in London
