Interim Group Financial Controller

The Hays Senior Finance interim & contracts team are recruiting an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join a growing, multi-entity business for an initial six-month assignment. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, this is a hands-on role supporting the business through a period of change and growth, with a focus on financial control, group reporting, process improvement and strengthening the wider finance function.
Key responsibilities
- Lead consolidated monthly management accounts and Group reporting
- Strengthen financial controls, processes and balance sheet integrity
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Oversee statutory reporting, VAT and audit requirements
- Lead and support the wider finance team
- Drive improvements across reporting, systems and processes
- Partner closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders
- Support wider finance projects and business change
About you - We're looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller / Financial Controller who can hit the ground running.
Ideally you will be:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Experienced within a Group, multi-entity or complex SME environment
- Technically strong in reporting, controls and consolidations
- Comfortable leading and developing a finance team
- Confident working with senior stakeholders
- Hands-on, adaptable and commercially minded
- Available immediately or at short notice
Package & process
- £350-£450 per day, dependent on experience and pay type
- Initial 6-month assignment
- Hybrid working (3 days required on site)
- One-stage Team interview (slots as soon as this week)
- Immediate / quick start
