Job summary
The Northwest London Virtual Hospital (NWLVH) is recruiting two experienced band 6 practitioners to provide virtual care and monitoring to acute patients. No IT or remote monitoring experience is required; training will be provided but an aptitude for technology is an advantage. You must be willing & able to speak to patients on the telephone frequently. The NWLVH undertakes remote monitoring of a variety of patients from across several acute hospitals and community settings. We cover a range of pathways, including cardiology, respiratory, IBD, diabetes, maternity & acute medicine. We have a range of pathways that guide our clinical reviews & work closely with many different MDTs. Virtual wards as a substitute for inpatient care, as well as more proactive remote monitoring pathways are a great opportunity to be part of a move away from traditional models of care, towards a more sustainable future within the NHS.
This is an evolving service, therefore flexibility & a sense of humour are essential. In return, we can offer a flexible and fun working environment, with a flat hierarchy & a commitment to shared decision making.
