• Location: Havering, London
• Pay: £85.50-£110 per day

• Contract: Flexible daily and short-term support bookings

Emotional Literacy and Positive Routines

• A Behaviour Mentor will build rapport through predictable check-ins, active listening and clear expectations.
• The Behaviour Mentor may help pupils identify triggers and practise coping strategies before difficulties escalate.
• As a Behaviour Mentor, you will follow agreed behaviour plans and support pupils during transitions or returns to class.
• An effective Behaviour Mentor will work with teachers and pastoral staff to encourage resilience, emotional literacy and participation.
• Record relevant concerns appropriately, follow safeguarding procedures and avoid assumptions about individual pupils.

What We're Looking For in a Behaviour Mentor

• Previous Behaviour Mentor or SEMH experience, or transferable experience in youth work, family support, mentoring, sports coaching, care or community services.
• Ability to use calm de-escalation and maintain professional boundaries without stigmatising pupils.
• Patience, resilience, respectful communication and consistency with support plans.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and reliable attendance on accepted bookings.
