Mechanical Engineer

Your new companyYou will be working within a professional Facilities Management environment in Barton-under-Needwood, supporting the maintenance and operation of mechanical building services.

Your new roleAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, heating, water and air-conditioning systems.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, pipework, fixtures and water systems.
• Maintain evaporative cooling and domestic water systems in line with L8 standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and plumbing faults to keep the plant operational.
• Complete maintenance records, risk assessments and CAFM/PDA reporting.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and site requirements.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.
• Formal training in mechanical services maintenance.
• Experience working with pumps, motors and valves.
• Experience in PPM and reactive maintenance within Facilities Management.
• Knowledge of water systems and L8 compliance.
• Basic BMS knowledge would be advantageous.
• Evaporative Cooling Systems certification is desirable.
