Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Governance Officer to join the Care Group 4 Governance Team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the day-to-day coordination of governance across a diverse range of clinical services. Working closely with the Governance Lead Nurse, senior leaders and clinical teams, you will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support across areas including patient safety, incidents, complaints and PALS, risk management, clinical effectiveness and governance meetings.

You will need excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records, trackers and meeting documentation. You should be comfortable working independently while recognising when an issue needs to be escalated.
Previous NHS or governance experience would be an advantage, but equally important is a willingness to learn, a proactive approach and an interest in supporting safe, effective and well-governed services.
The postholder will be required to travel between Trust and community locations across the Rotherham area as part of the role. Applicants must therefore be able to meet the travel requirements of the post. Where a private vehicle is used for business purposes, appropriate business-use insurance will be required.
