Role Details

• Location: Winchester, Hampshire
• Pay: £140-£220 per day
• Start: ASAP bookings, subject to registration and safeguarding checks
• Setting: Mainstream primary schools, EYFS to Key Stage 2
• Contract: Flexible daily and short-term supply, with longer options where available

Delivering Primary Cover

• A Primary Supply Teacher will deliver provided lesson plans in appropriate EYFS, KS1 or KS2 classrooms.
• The Primary Supply Teacher will establish clear routines, manage behaviour positively and keep pupils focused.
• As a Primary Supply Teacher, you may adapt explanations and tasks for different attainment levels and pupils with SEND.
• A successful Primary Supply Teacher will work with Teaching Assistants and leave useful handovers about learning completed.
• Follow attendance, assessment and safeguarding procedures; any extra planning for longer bookings can be agreed in advance.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for a Primary Supply Teacher.
• Recent primary teaching experience and confidence with the age groups you wish to cover.
