Job summary

Do you want to make a positive difference in digital delivery across one of the UK's largest NHS Trusts?

At University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL), we are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Digital Training Coordinator to join our Digital Training Team.

You will support the coordination and administration of UHL's digital training programmes, maintaining training records, producing compliance reports, coordinating learning activities, and providing support to colleagues across the Trust.

Working closely with Digital Trainers, system teams, and operational colleagues, you will help ensure staff have access to the training and resources needed to use digital systems effectively and confidently.

We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills. You should be able to manage competing priorities, work accurately under pressure, and build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

This is an exciting opportunity to support UHL's digital transformation journey, helping to develop a digitally confident workforce and improve both staff and patient experience.

The role may require travel between Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital, and Leicester General Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Digital Training Team.
  • Maintain and update e-learning content, ensuring all courses remain accurate and up to date.
  • Produce and distribute training, compliance, and system usage reports.
  • Record staff training completion and maintain accurate records within ESR/OLM.
  • Coordinate training schedules, particularly during periods of high staff recruitment and onboarding.
  • Support the creation and distribution of digital newsletters and training communications.
  • Assist with digital engagement initiatives and the Digital Ideas process.
  • Act as a first point of contact for training enquiries and support requests.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and liaise with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Support the delivery of clinical systems training through a variety of learning methods, including classroom, virtual, and e-learning approaches.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and contribute to audits, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Gather and analyse learner feedback to support service development.
  • Represent the Digital Training Team at meetings, events, and engagement activities as required.

About us

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

  • high-quality care for all,
  • being a great place to work,
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate,
  • we are proud,
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
