Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will join our Executive Leadership Team and Board, with overall responsibility for clinical safety and effectiveness across the SELDOC Group.

As Medical Director, you will give equal focus to clinical governance and external engagement: ensuring safe, effective care while building relationships with competitors, GP federations and other providers to raise SELDOC Groups profile, develop partnerships and create opportunities for new services.

You will bring clinical judgement to strategic decisions, helping identify opportunities, develop services and build partnerships that improve patient care and support sustainable growth. Main duties of the job

You are a practising GP and experienced Medical Director with a strong understanding of urgent care and the governance that underpins safe, appropriate and timely services.

You enjoy the pace of Urgent Treatment Centres and understand their contribution to patient flow and four-hour Emergency Department performance.

You combine clinical credibility with strategic thinking and commercial awareness. You are motivated by developing better care within a sustainable business that benefits patients, colleagues and wider stakeholders.

You work well in a small, supportive Executive Team where accountabilities are clear and challenges are addressed together. Approachable and collaborative, you lead by example, take responsibility and bring a low-ego approach to decisions and relationships.

You must hold a primary medical qualification and a relevant postgraduate qualification, have at least five years clinical service, and hold GMC registration and Medical Performers List inclusion, both without restrictions. Your experience will include urgent care and UTC management and clinical delivery, quality improvement, multidisciplinary leadership and organisational change.

About us
