Accounts Assistant - 6 month FTC - Insurance

I am pleased to be assisting my client in the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant on a 6-month FTC basis. My client are a global insurance business based in the City of London (EC3). You will be working a hybrid basis of 2 days office and 3 home. Please find an overview of the roles below:

Role responsibilities:

• Monitor outstanding employee expenses and resolve queries promptly
• Ensure expenses are approved and paid in line with company policies
• Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
• Maintain accurate employee payment details and financial records
• Process payments and provide purchase ledger cover as required
• Prepare accruals and prepayments for review
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Respond to employee, supplier and client queries professionally
• Assist with finance projects, process improvements and general administrative duties
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as required

Ideal experience:

• Previous experience in finance & accounts
• Experience processing expenses, resolving queries and completing bank reconciliations
• Understanding of purchase ledger and month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with finance system experience desirable
