Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Clinical Practitioner
The closing date is 07 November 2026
Job summary
Due to retirement of our much loved ANP, we are looking to recruit an experienced salaried advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) or advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) to deliver outstanding patient care. This is a full time role, hours and days negotiable for a suitable candidate. We may consider two part time applicants to share the role.
Main duties of the job
- Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate
- As an independent prescriber: to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative frame work
- As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group
About us
- We can offer off street parking for the duration of your shifts
- We work closely with the Homeless Healthcare team, however patients are registered at all practices in Southend and Southend Medical centre is not exclusively responsible for this patient group
- Historically we are aware we had a reputation of dealing with challenging and complex needs patients, we would like to reassure applicants we have a zero-tolerance policy to unacceptable behaviour. Patients will be deducted and registered with special allocation services (SAS) if necessary.
- We pride ourselves on being an inclusive practice. This means our staff are open minded and non-judgemental when offering a service to vulnerable patients often with a multicultural background, experiencing deprivation, health inequalities and personal characteristics. We pride ourselves on adapting our approach to break down any barriers patients may have and believe everyone should have access to healthcare. We strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel listened to, respected and supported to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
