Main duties of the job
As a Receptionist/Administrator within SWISH and Starling, you will provide a professional, efficient and welcoming service for patients accessing sexual health, contraception and HIV services. Acting as a key point of contact, you will greet patients on arrival, manage enquiries by telephone, email and in person, and support individuals to access the most appropriate appointments and services.
You will be responsible for booking, amending and coordinating appointments using the Lilie patient management system, ensuring patient information is recorded accurately and confidentially at all times. The role includes maintaining electronic records, processing clinic activity, supporting data entry requirements and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of clinics across the service. Working closely with clinical and administrative colleagues, you will help ensure high standards of patient care and customer service are delivered consistently.
The successful candidate will be organised, adaptable and able to work effectively in a busy environment, balancing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You will contribute to a positive patient experience, support service improvements and work collaboratively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to providing accessible, inclusive and high-quality sexual health services for the people of Somerset.
