About the role and school

Teach Plus are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Lambeth that is looking to appoint a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join its Early Years team as soon as possible.

The school is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who understands the importance of early childhood development and can help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.

The successful candidate will support children's learning through play-based activities, encourage communication and independence, and work closely with the wider EYFS team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner looking to develop their experience within a primary school setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Support children within the Nursery setting

• Deliver and assist with age-appropriate, play-based activities

• Promote children's communication, language and social development

• Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships

• Support observations and assessments of children's development

• Work alongside the class teacher and other Early Years staff

• Help maintain a safe, engaging and well-organised environment

• Support daily routines, transitions and children's wellbeing

• Adapt support to meet children's individual needs

• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

Qualifications/Experience

• Relevant Level 3 childcare or Early Years qualification essential

• Previous experience in a Nursery, EYFS or primary school setting desirable

• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development

• Caring, patient and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable, proactive and organised

• Passionate about supporting children's early learning and development
