EHS Specialist (6-Month Contract)

Location: Coventry
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £25 - £29 p/h PAYE (Umbrella also an option)

We're seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support our Health, Safety and Environmental programme on a 6-month contract basis in Coventry. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a positive safety culture within a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Advise managers and employees on EHS best practices and compliance requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Deliver EHS training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability goals.
• Analyse and report EHS metrics and drive corrective actions.

About You:

• NEBOSH-qualified (or equivalent) with an environmental qualification such as IEMA or IOSH.
• Experience managing or supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive, organised, and confident influencing change across the business.
