Role: Senior Developer – Golang

Contract: 6 months

Rate: £40 per hour

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Location: Sussex – 3 days per week on-site

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with Golang experience to join a well-established financial services company on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on developer with a strong software development background and practical experience in Go (Golang) to contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions within a financial services environment.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable and well-tested code using Golang.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and software architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts and other stakeholders.
• Follow software development best practices, including code reviews, testing and version control.
• Ensure solutions meet the performance, reliability and security requirements expected within financial services.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience in a professional environment.
• 1–2 years of hands-on development experience with Golang (Go).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development best practices.
• Experience developing, testing and maintaining production-quality applications.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within an established development team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Sussex three days per week.

Contract Details

• Contract duration: 6 months initially.
• Day-to-day rate equivalent: £40 per hour.
• IR35: Inside IR35.
• Working arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 days per week on-site in Sussex.
