Job summary

Are you interested in helping people develop their careers and supporting others into work? We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive individual to join our Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Team as a Business Administration Apprentice, based in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Our team coordinates apprenticeships, work experience, employability schemes and events. You will work alongside colleagues in a supportive environment, gaining practical experience and developing your administrative skills. Good attention to detail, accuracy and a willingness to learn are important for this role.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for flexible and home working. You will also undertake a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Wiltshire College, gaining valuable workplace experience alongside a nationally recognised qualification.

To be eligible, you must be aged 16 or over, live in England, not be undertaking full-time education and not hold a Level 4 or higher qualification in the same subject area. You must also have lived in the UK for the three years immediately before starting the apprenticeship.

Please note visa sponsorship for this role is unfortunately not available. Ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.

Main duties of the job

You will support the team with a range of activities, including coordinating work experience placements and summer schools, promoting apprenticeship opportunities, enrolling staff onto apprenticeship programmes, monitoring inboxes and maintaining our database. You will provide general administrative support to help ensure the smooth running of the team's projects and activities. The role will also include supporting the Learning and Development Admin Team with maintaining records and managing bookings.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge through practical experience, in-house training and shadowing colleagues across other services. We will support your personal and professional development, with potential opportunities to gain further experience based on your interests and strengths.

If you are looking to start your career in business administration while gaining a recognised qualification and making a contribution to supporting people into work, we would welcome your application.
